Three years, baby!!!!  We've been doing this silly podcast for three years and to celebrate, we covered the major X-Men and Marvel Comics story, Days of Future Past, written by Chris Claremont and pencilled by John Byrne.
Tim talked about Three by Kieron Gillen, Ryan Kelly, and Jordie Bellaire from Image comics.
Kent hasn't read any comics in awhile, but he did read Neil Gaiman's prose book The Ocean at the End of the Line and he watched Stranger Things on Netflix, so that's awesome!

Marc read All-Star Batman #1 by Scott Snyder and John Romita, Jr., Our Fighting Forces #150 by Archie Goodwin and Ed Davis, and Green Arrow #s 4 & 5 by Benjamin Percy and Juan Ferreyra, all from DC Comics.  Thanks for sticking with us for three years and here's to seventeen more!!!!

Craziness in a car.

On our way to C2E2 in Chicago, we thought it'd be fun to record an episode! In part one, we talk about our hopes & goals at the convention.

In part two, we discuss what we actually did at the con, including meeting Chris Claremont & Marguerite Bennett and hanging out with Ted Sikora of Apama, the Undiscovered Animal.

In part three, we just leave the microphone on & shoot the shit. Marc manages to fit in a quick review of Sword of the Atom from DC Comics, written by Jan Strnand and art by Gil Kane. This episode really captures what it's like to take a road trip with your friends...if your friends love comics.

Let's get biblical.

This week Tim and Marc discuss the classic JLA tale, Tower of Babel!  It was published in 2000 from DC Comics, and written by Mark Waid, with pencilling duties by Howard Porter and Steve Scott.  Ever wonder how Batman would take out his best friends and colleagues?  This story will tell you how!

We also read some listener mail from Kent Wagenschutz and Dylan Martino, and Marc talks about Milk & Cheese's Other #1, written and drawn by Evan Dorkin, from Slave Labor Graphics.

We were so excited about the Deadpool movie we just had to talk about it!  We dig deep, so if you haven't seen it yet, rush to your theater and watch it!  We'll wait!  ...ready?

Okay, great.

How great was Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano, T.J. Miller, and Ed Skrein in this movie? The writers nailed all the fourth wall breaking, quick wit of Deadpool for sure too. R-rated superhero movies are a rare thing and we were not left wanting.

We also talk about Tim's trepidation with his house selling, Detective Comics by Brian Buccellato and Francis Manapul, Werewolf by Night #27 by Doug Moench and Don Perlin, Conan #56 by Roy Thomas and John Buscema, a Weird Jack Kirby fact, and letters!

We head boldly into the post Secret Wars Marvel universe by covering The Vision #s 1-4!

This ennui-filled bit of suburban malaise was written by Tom King, with art by Gabriel Hernandez Walta and colors by Jordie Bellaire.  We have our good friend and Marvel continuity expert Jeff Uppole on the show to help us wade through the mire that is Vision's continuity.

We also talk about Amazing Forest #1 by Ulises Farinas, Erick Freitas, and a whole slew of artists, Mystery In Space #17, and Vader Down #1 by Jason Aaron and Mike Deodato.

It's Valentine's Day, and to celebrate, we found the most tragic romantic story in comics:  Mad Love!  It's written by Paul Dini and art is by Bruce Timm.  It's the story of how Harley Quinn came to be so infatuated with the Joker, and it was adapted into an episode of Batman: The Animated Series!

Marc also treats us to a special "every 15 episode" intro featuring some of the comics industry's brightest stars!

Tim and Marc get a weird MP3 in the e-mail, which turns out to be from 2011 and is a review of DC's New 52- Batman Volume 1, The Court of Owls by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo!  Weird, right?  The MP3 also contains reviews of the New 52's Detective Comics #s 0-18 by Tony S Daniel, John Layman, Greg Hurwitz, and Jason Fabok, Catwoman #s 1-12, and Harley's Little Black Book #1.

We also discuss the news of DC revamping Hanna Barbara properties in comic book form, Wal-Marts selling trade paperbacks, Tim's crusade to get RC Cola into social media, a letter from #1 fan Kent Wagenschutz, and some Time Master guy in the corner who didn't stop break dancing.

We wax philosophical about the past year with our awards episode for 2015.  In it, we talk about our favorite writers, artists, book, characters, which usual CNU guest hosts are or are not sleeping until 8PM and/or Watching Talespin, how great a sponsor our unofficial sponsor RC Cola is, how many buttrams it would take to get Tim to read another Convergence mini-series, how Jeremiah Lambert Art will "poo this", if talking about villains from The Walking Dead is appropriate or not, how many times saying the word "banana" will prepare listeners for spoilers, and some more.  Not much more, but some more.

For our 101st episode, we have #1 fan Kent Wagenschutz on the show to discuss the wonderful book from Archaia, "Tale Of Sand".  This book is based on the un-produced screenplay of Jim Henson, the amazing creator of the Muppets!  Ramon Perez handles art duties like a boss. We also talk to Kent about all the books he's been reading, Chew from Image comics, Kathy Bates, and Superman: Lois & Clark #s 1 & 2 from DC comics!
